BIOGRAPHY

Hi my name is Yassin and I am a highly accomplished gymnastics coach with deep roots in the sport. Beginning gymnastics at just 5 years old, I was inspired by my father, a former national gymnast, and also, I was lucky that my family-owned a gym. My passion for the sport grew, leading me to pursue gymnastics for over than 15 years. At age 18, I achieved the title of Moroccan champion, but my athletic career was cut short by a severe ankle injury that left me unable to walk without support for nearly a year.

RISE AND SET

Despite the setback, I found a new path in gymnastics by transitioning to coaching. While I was studying sports sciences at university, I used my academic knowledge to sharpen my skills in coaching, nutrition, and physical education. This determination led me to become the youngest international gymnastics coach in Moroccan history, marking the start of a remarkable coaching career.

COMING BACK

As an assistant to the Moroccan national gymnastics team, I participated in various international events as a referee and coach before moving to Turkey in 2018.

IMMIGRATION

In 2018 I moved to Turkey, I quickly mastered the language and enrolled in Marmara University’s prestigious Sports Academy, where I earned a Master’s degree in 2022. During this time, I freelanced as a coach, promoting the concept of gymnastics for all ages, including adults.

BIG PROJECT

In 2023, I co-founded my first life big project "Gymnastics Plus," a unique gym that combined gymnastics training with related disciplines like flexibility and athletic performance. Within a year, the gym attracted over than 300 students, thanks to my professional training system and my highly capable team of coaches that I grew up.

However, unfortunately differences in management vision led me broke up from my partner and to leave the gym in 2024, opting to return to freelancing and explore new opportunities. Since then, I have focused on teaching professional gymnastics to future coaches and sports teachers at universities.

WHAT'S NEXT?

I am currently planning two projects for 2025. The first one is to develop a mobile application called "COACH YABO PT" for myself and my brand. The purpose of this application is to enable me to provide asynchronous remote training, track my students' progress, and enhance the overall quality of the services I offer.

The second is about my first book that aimed at helping new gymnastics coaches start their careers. In the meanwhile, I am developing an innovative coaching course (CiPA) designed to cultivate a new generation of highly skilled gymnastics coaches.
